4.7.1 Audio Attributes
Tag
Values
Description
ad
True/False
Identifies this audio message as an advertisement: True = yes,
False = no. The default for this attribute it False. See also: the
afaOptions attribute of the <Config> element.
audioID
4-digit
screen # or
alphanumeric
Unique identifier for the audio element. This must be the screen
number when it is associated with an NDC screen. Otherwise, the
audioID can be any alphanumeric value when it is not associated
with a screen. Note that audioIDs are case sensitive when alpha
characters are included.
You can use the same names for audioIDs as you have for pre-
existing wav files if you want to map your audioIDs to pre-
existing .wav files so that your host messages do not need to
change. The guidelines for using existing wav file are as follows:
•
If the extension on the file is “.wav,” use only the main
filename as the name of the audioID. For example, if the wav
file you want to use is called “test.wav,” you would call the
corresponding audioID “test” with no extension.
•
If the wav file you want to use has any extension other than
“.wav,” you need to use the entire filename as the audioID.
For example, if your wav file is called “test.wav1,” you would
call the corresponding audioID “text.wav1,” including the
.wav1 as part of the name. The software will search for the
entire name.
If an audioID cannot be found, nothing will be voiced.
groupID
String
This attribute can be used by the host to identify different audio
elements for different downloads and is ignored by the MoniPlus2
application.
keyboardID
100-999
Reference to the Keyboard element that should be used with this
screen; must be equal to one of the keyboardIDs in a <Key>
element.
keyText
True/False
Specifies whether or not to voice the selection that the customer
makes for the screen. This attribute is only valid for screens
associated with selection states E, X and Y (FDK selection states)
and only when the FDKs are mapped to keys 0-9 on the keypad.
When set to True, additional Audio elements must be defined that
contain each of the customer’s possible selections. These
additional Audio elements must have the same audioID as the
parent screen followed by a – (dash) and then the button number to
which the FDK for each selection has been mapped.
When set to False, or not included, a beep only will sound when a
key is pressed.
