Nautilus® Sport Series Treadmill Owner’s Manual

Visually inspect and clean the treadmill regularly.  Daily

visual inspection should include:

•  Inspect the power cord and walking belt for wear.

•   Check the position of the walking belt; be sure it is

not rubbing against the frame. The belt should be

evenly spaced on the deck within 0.25 inch (0.6 cm);

adjust if necessary.

•  Remove potential hazards from the treadmill area.

CLEANING

•

 Daily:

Keep the treadmill and display free of dust and

debris. Use a damp sponge to wipe the exteriors and

walking belt; do not soak surfaces. Dry all surfaces

thoroughly.  Use a mild glass cleaner to clean display

and keypad areas. Do not spray cleaner directly onto

the treadmill. Instead spray cleaner onto a clean

cloth.

•

Weekly:

Elevate the treadmill to maximum incline

and vacuum the fl oor under it to prevent excess dust

and dirt from interfering with operation.

For best performance, we recommend your treadmill be

placed on a treadmill mat.  Along with reducing noise, a

treadmill mat will help to keep dust and debris away from

your treadmill’s critical components.

TREADMILL INTERIOR

Depending upon the treadmill environment, dust and/or lint

can accumulate under the hood. Periodic internal cleaning/

vacuuming should be done by qualifi ed service personnel.

WALKING BELT AND DECK LUBRICATION

This treadmill is equipped with a pre-lubricated deck and

belt system.  We recommend periodic lubrication.

Use the following timetable as a guide to lubricate the

deck:

•  Light user (less than 3 hours of use per week) - Lubricate

annually

•  Medium user (3-5 hours of use per week) - Lubricate

every six months

•  Heavy user (more than 5 hours of use per week) -

Lubricate every three months

NOTE: Do not use lubricants with silicone distillates.

MAINTENANCE

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TREADMILL FROM

THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE CLEANING,

LUBRICATING, OR SERVICING THE UNIT.
