 5. Position and Mounting

a) Start by assembling the naviflash monitor and swivel arm and hol-
ding it in different positions in your car and choose the most convenient
position for the navigation system.

The navigation system is operated via touchsreen. For this reason it
should be placed that way a driver can easy reach it with his hand.

Important:

When placing the monitor make sure it doesn’t obstruct

your  sight  while  driving.  Please  also  make  sure  to  install
naviflash well outside all passenger impact areas in the pas-
senger compartment and also outside the expansion areas
of any airbags in your car. Install it in place where you can
easily take it off from the swivel arm.

The navigation system is equipped with an integrated GPS

antenna.  However,  please  note  that  heat  insulation  glass
with  vapor  deposited  metal  layer  blocks  signals  from  out-
side to inside and vice versa. Please check if naviflash recei-
ves GPS signals inside your car before mounting / attaching
the base plate. Activate naviflash inside your car. If after 5
minutes the name of the street and city of your current po-
sition are not displayed on the screen saver this means the
GPS signal received inside the car is not strong enough.

b) Please use the enclosed cleaning cloth to degrease the surface whe-
re you want to attach the base plate. Through the use of the swivel
arm, the system can be easily removed from the vehicle, for use in a
second vehicle, for example.

c) Place the suction pad of the swivel arm on the car windscreen. Loo-
sen  the  hinge  fitting  B  in  order  to  place  the  pad  on  the  dashboard.
Next, press down the catch A so that the swivel arm is fixed onto the
windscreen. Next, close the hinge fitting B. Now move the foot C to the
left or right in order to set the optimum viewing angle.
