Trip Options
Sets the trip options for any route to be taken. Tap the “Trip Options” button to set
the options for the M35. Options can be changed when setting a destination in the
Options menu in the address entry screens.
Select one of the following Route method options. The current option will be flagged
by the on the button.
Quickest Route: this option calculates the route based on road types
and classes between your current location and the destination. The
physical distance to your destination may be slighter longer than the
“Shortest Route” option but should require less travelling time.
Shortest Route: This option calculates the route based on the shortest
physical distance between you current location and your destination.
Depending on the type and class of roads used on this trip, it may take
longer that the “Quickest Route” option.
Walking: The Walking option will calculate a route to your destination
and may direct you along one way streets the wrong way, over
footbridges and along paths. Some routes may be determined as “Too
Long” for this mode. If this is reported, consider breaking your trip in to
several stages.
The following options are on/off. On is shown by the on the button. If not shown
this feature is off.
Toll Roads: If on, Toll Roads will be used in the route to your destination if
required. If this option is off, no Toll Roads will be used and an alternative
route will be calculated. (As shown Toll Roads will be used)
Camera Alert: When on, a warning sound will be played when
approaching the location of known fixed safety cameras. Visual
warnings are always displayed in both Cruise and Navigation modes.
Once you have made your selections for the “Trip Options”, tap the “Back” button
to return to the “Options” menu or the “Map” button to return the Map screen.
