“SPEED”
button
You can press the “SPEED” button at any time. This allows you to turn the
speed-limit alert function on or off.
•
If you press the button while your GPS
displays 90km/h for
example, it will give an audio signal every time you accelerate over
the speed alert threshold.
•
If you press it again, briefly, while another speed is displayed, this
speed will replace the previous speed threshold.
•
To turn off the speed-limit alert function, just press the button for
about 4 seconds until the message “L-d” is displayed.
“INPUT”
“Add/Delete Memory”
button
You can enter your own dangerous zones or points of personal interest.
To do this, just press the “INPUT” button briefly. The display will show « Add
» to confirm that your new personal point will be memorised. If you later
wish to delete this point, you have two possibilities: When you pass this
point again, once the alert sounds, press and hold the “INPUT” button
until the message « Del » confirms deletion. You can also use the delete
function of the personal points organiser programme. When attempting
to add a personal point, if the message « a-F » (Add-Failure) is displayed,
this is because there is already a personal point at these geographic
coordinates or that the memory allocated to personal points is saturat-
ed. When attempting to delete a personal point by pressing and holding
the “INPUT” button, if the message « d-F » is displayed, this is because
there is no personal point at these geographic coordinates or that the
attempted deletion was made too long after the alert signalling the pres-
ence of a personal point.
4. Controls
To check the operation of your GPS , you can start the auto-
demonstration mode by pressing the two buttons at the same time
for 2 to 3 seconds. This mode allows you to test all the messages,
audio alerts and displays. To quit the auto-demonstration mode,
press the two buttons at the same time again, for 2 to 3 seconds,
until the word “END” is displayed on the high-luminosity screen.
