1.13.2 Qube 300 is not reporting in OnlineAVL2 (Cellular Connectivity Issues)
Attention:
Qube may not be reporting in OnlineAVL2 because it is out of Cell Network Cover-
age. As soon as the vehicle goes thru an ignition cycle in an area with good coverage, all data
will back-populate.
1. Verify with wireless network provider that your vehicle is located in cell network
(data/SMS) coverage area.
2. Cycle ignition key ON-OFF-ON to wake up the Qube. Wait up to five (5) minutes for all dia-
gnostic LEDs to come on. If none of LEDs turn on , see the previous section: Qube is not
powering up.
3. Verify that the Qube’s amber LED light (GPS LED) is on. (If GPS LED light is off or flashing
but cell LED is on, the Qube may be reporting to last date when it had a valid GPS fix;
date stamp is acquired thru GPS signal, see next section: GPS fix issues)
4. Verify that the Qube’s red LED light (Cell LED) is on, if the red LED is on, use OnlineAVL2
to verify Qube’s AVL ID/Modem# (you could be looking at wrong vehicle/device in
OnlineAVL2). If the red Cell LED is not solid on, continue troubleshooting.
5. Disconnect all cables. Perform a Cold Reset. Allow up to ten (10) minutes for the Qube to
establish a network connection. Cycle ignition key ON-OFF-ON. Check OnlineAVL2 if the
Qube resumed normal operation.
6. Check cell antenna connection to the Qube, tighten if necessary. Check antenna cable for
cuts/nicks, if damaged replace antenna and cable. Perform a Cold Reset after replace-
ment. Check OnlineAVL2 if the Qube resumed normal operation.
7. Make sure all unused wires from all Qube’s harnesses are individually isolated/taped (cut
off tinned ends off all unused wires). Perform a Cold Reset after adjustments. Check
OnlineAVL2 if the Qube resumed normal operation.
8. For Qube 300/HSPA, remove the SIM card and check for visible damages/deformation
(CDMA variant does not use SIM). SIM card slot is spring-loaded, do not force SIM
into/out of slot. If available, insert a SIM card from another Qube 300/HSPA followed by a
Cold Reset. Check OnlineAVL2 if the Qube resumed normal operation.
9. Contact Navman Wireless Support to verify the Qube is activated/registered with wireless
carrier.
10. If a spare/working Qube is available, plug it in to verify its operation inside this vehicle. If
the spare device is reporting/red LED is on, remove the original Qube from vehicle for
replacement.
11. When all troubleshooting fails or replacement hardware is required, contact Navman
Wireless Support from Contact list. Please, have Qube’s serial number and brief descrip-
tion of issue.
