INFORMATION ON THE SYSTEM FOR ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC
EQUIPMENT WASTE COLLECTION AND HOUSEHOLD ROLE
1.
Any customer can leave their old equipment at the store where they purchased their new equipment, as the store is obliged to accept
the old equipment free of charge if new equipment of the same type and function is purchased there.
2.
Every customer may return waste electrical and electronic equipment at the place of delivery.
In light of the applicable regulations, a distributor delivering equipment intended for households to a purchaser (a customer) is obliged
to take back waste equipment from households at the place of delivery of such equipment free of charge, provided that the used
equipment is of the same type and has fulfilled the same functions as the delivered equipment.
3.
Any customer can drop off their waste equipment at a large market without having to buy new equipment.
According to the regulations in force, the stores with a minimum sales area of 400 m for household equipment are obliged to accept,
free of charge, waste equipment from households in this facility or its immediate vicinity, none of the external dimensions of which
exceeds 25 cm, without having to purchase new household equipment.
4.
Each customer may bring waste equipment to a collection point. Information about the nearest location can be found on the municipal
website or the Town Hall notice board.
5.
If you choose to have your equipment repaired at a service center and it is uneconomical or technically impossible to repair the
equipment, the service center is obliged to accept the equipment free of charge.
6.
Households play a vital role in contributing to the reuse and recovery of waste equipment. Proper handling of the equipment used
prevents potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.
The equipment collected in this way is sent to specialized processing plants, where hazardous components will be removed first. The
remaining components will be recovered and recycled. Any equipment powered by electricity or batteries should be marked with
a crossed-out garbage bin symbol:
The crossed-out garbage bin symbol placed on the equipment, packaging, or accompanying
documents indicates that the product must not be disposed of with other waste. The user is obliged
to hand over used equipment to the designated collection point for proper processing. The marking
also means that the equipment was placed on the market after 13 August 2005.
Do not dispose of used equipment together with other waste!
There are fines for doing so.
Proper handling of used equipment prevents potential environmental and human health
consequences.
At the same time, we save the earth's natural resources by reusing raw materials obtained from
processing equipment.
