The boombox will not use the batteries if the 
power cable is connected to the AC power 
socket. Disconnect the cable from the boom-
box when you want to use battery power. 

Basic Functions

Switching the Unit On/Off

After connecting the power, press and hold the  /
FUNC. button [15] to turn the unit ON or OFF.

Setting the Function Mode

While the boombox is on, press the  /FUNC. button[15] 
to change the active function mode. The 6 modes are: 

 • FM: Listen to FM radio broadcasts.
 • AM: Listen to AM radio broadcasts.

 • CD: Play compact discs (CD-audio or CD-MP3).
 • USB: Play MP3s from USB memory sticks.
 • BT (Bluetooth®): Stream audio from wireless play-

ers with Bluetooth®. 

 • AUX: Play audio from devices connected to the AUX 

input jack.

The active function mode will be shown on the display 
when you turn on the boombox.

Adjusting the Volume

Press the   [11] or   button [13] on unit to increase or 
decrease the volume level, respectively. 

Choosing an Equalizer Preset

The audio equalizer presets available on this boombox 
are calibrated to deliver a frequency response curve 
that best suits the style of music you are listening to. 

Press  the  EQ  button  [16]  during  audio  playback  to 
choose an equalizer preset that sounds best to you: 
FLAT, CLASSIC, ROCK, POP, or JAZZ.
