Setting Data Error and Data Buffer Options (RS-232C Models Only)
This function allows you to select the handling of data reception errors and to select the
size of the data buffer.
Caution:
The DIP switches are pre-set at the factory and should generally not be changed.
If you must change them, do so carefully to avoid changing other functions. Run the print
test to print the settings for this function. See “Print Test” in this chapter.
Note:
The operator panel may differ depending on the model. To put the printer on- or
off-line, use a paper clip or other pointed object to depress the plunger (in place of the On
Line button) on models with that item.

Open the front cover and note what the current DIP switch settings are.
2.
Set the DIP switches for data reception errors and the data buffer.
Switch 7 is always Off. Switch 8: On = knife, Off = non-knife

Close the front cover and press the On Line button (or plunger).
The green LED flashes when the printer cycles. The settings are entered into EEROM.
