Note: The High Shutdown Threshold and Low Shutdown Threshold fields are disabled for those
values for which they do not apply.
When one of the configured thresholds is crossed, an alert is generated based on the
configuration of the alert. For example, in the above temperature example, if the temperature
crosses the High Alarm Threshold of 13.0, an alert is generated. That alert may be notification by
pager, Internet e-mail, broadcast message, message box, or by program execution. See the section
titled “Configuring Events” for detailed information on configuring events and alert actions.
