Configuring Event Actions
The following table shows the procedures for configuring the various event actions from the
Manage Alerts dialog box.
If you want to
Do this
Configure a Message Box
alert action
1. Select the parameter.
2. Click
CONFIGURE.
3. Select the Message Box alert action and click OK.
4. Select whether you want an error beep and whether you
want the dialog to be system modal.
5. Click
NEXT.
6. Type any message text you want to display in the Message
box and move available parameters you want from the Alert
Parameters list to the Message box.
7. Enter a configuration name.

The configuration name appears in the Manage Alerts
dialog beside this action.
8. Click
FINISH.
Configure a Broadcast alert
action
1. Select the parameter.
2. Click
CONFIGURE.
3. Select the Broadcast alert action and click OK.
4. Type any message text you want to display in the Message
box and move available parameters you want from the
Parameters list to the Message box.
5. Enter a configuration name.

The configuration name appears in the Manage Alerts
dialog beside this action.
6. Click
FINISH.
