2. To ensure a secure electrical contact, tighten the fasteners to the end of the threads, without using excessive
force.
9 Operation
NOTICE! Damage hazard
To prevent sulfation of the battery, do not recharge the battery if the voltage is below 10
V.
Note
The alternator and any solar panels may not be sufficient to completely recharge the battery during
the journey. Charging from the 230
V mains immediately after each discharge, avoids the process of sulfa-
tion of the plates.
1.
Always recharge the battery completely at the end of each use.
2. Wait 12 hours and check that the voltage is at least 12.8
V.
Note
Do not use the battery if the voltage is below 11
V, as it may not provide enough power to the appli-
ances and equipment.
10 Cleaning and maintenance
The batteries are maintenance-free.
Occasionally clean the product with a damp cloth.
11 Storing
Before storing, fully charge the battery with a recommended battery charger for 1-2 days.
When the battery is not in use, ensure that the battery voltage does not drop below 12.6
V.
When storing the battery on longer term, completely recharge it every 30 days to prevent sulfation damage.
