Operating the unit
This chapter is intended for using the NEO IP/GSM without the NPU, i.e. the
functions described are how to use the NEO IP/GSM with the buttons etc. All
functions are also programmable with the NPU and Programmer software and is
indicated with a computer icon to the left of the paragraph.
2.1
The buttons and indicators

Alarm button

is illuminated (the alarm LED) and is used for

Reset button
The green
Reset button
can perform different functions:
• Reset an initiated alarm call, see 2.2.2 Resetting an alarm.
• Initiate a poll to the NEAT Web Service, see 8.4.3 Network read from NEO IP/
• Perform a GSM Network quality test, see 2.2.8 Testing the quality of the GSM
• Initiate a Radio Coverage Test, see 2.2.7 Radio coverage test.

Extra button
The white
Extra button
can perform many different functions:
• Adjust the volume of loudspeaker, see 2.2.3 Volume control.
• Program radio transmitters, see 2.2.4 Connecting radio equipment.
• Presence and Ready indication, see 5.6 Presence and Ready indication.
• Sending a special alarm with optional alarm type, e.g. a service call or to a
relative.
2.1.4 The front LEDs
The LEDs in the front of the unit indicates visually if there is a problem in the
operation of the unit.

AC (yellow)
• Battery (red)
