Chapter 2 Preparations

8x 3.5 inch drive model front 2x 2.5 inch drive cage
You can install an optional front 2x 2.5 inch drive cage (SAS/SATA, NNMe) on 8x 3.5 inch drive model.

Note
In order to prevent the damage for the electronic parts, start the installation of
system after providing proper anti-static treatment. If a proper earth is not
provided, electrostatic discharge may occur.
Before installing the option, prepare the followings.
Parts included in the optional kit
T-10 hexalobular driver
When installing the components, follow the steps below.
1.
Back up all the data of server.
2.
See steps 1 to 7 in
Chapter 2 (1.2 Overview of Installation and Removal)
for preparations.
3.
Lift up the levers on both sides of fan cage, and pull the fan cage upward to dismantle it.
