Disassembly and Reassembly 4-67
Removing the Hot-Plug PCI LED Board
Use this procedure to remove the hot-plug PCI LED board from the rear of the
chassis (see Figure 4-68).
1.
Observe the safety and ESD precautions listed at the beginning of this
chapter.
2.
Power off the system. Ensure the power cords are unplugged from the AC
wall outlet.
3.
Open the hot-plug PCI bay door. See subsection

in chapter 2.
4.
Locate the hot-plug PCI LED board assembly (C) that is mounted on the
left-hand side of the PCI expansion slot covers at the rear of the chassis. Tag
and temporarily unplug the cable connected to the hot-plug PCI LED board
assembly.
5.
Place all the expansion slot cover tabs (A) into their upright position
(unlocked).
6.
Remove the two screws (B) securing the hot-plug PCI LED board assembly
(C) to the rear frame of the chassis. Save the screws for reassembly.
7.
Remove the hot-plug PCI LED board assembly (C) from the chassis.
8.
Remove the four screws (F) securing the hot-plug PCI LED board (E) to its
metal bracket (D) and remove the board.
