Setting the Configuration Switches
Before You Begin
Only a qualified technical person should perform the procedures in this section.

CAUTION
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage the system
boards. Modify the system boards only at an ESD
workstation. Otherwise, wear an antistatic wrist strap
attached to chassis ground.
The eight configuration switches on the I/O carrier board enable you to control
various configuration options for your system. Figure 3-5 shows the
configuration switches. Table 3-9 lists the I/O carrier configuration switches and
their factory default settings.
