Initiate BringUp
Powers the component on and brings it into service (online). The component
must be offline, broken, or shot.
Initiate Diagnostics
Runs diagnostic tests on the component. The component must be out of
service (offline) before you can run diagnostics. Initiate Diagnostics turns on
power to the component to run the diagnostic tests. This action is unavailable
if the component is online. Diagnostics also run just prior to bringing the
device into service.
Initiate Jump Switch
Switches from one or more running CPUs to a new CPU and displays the
status of the operation. Normally used to upgrade the CPU element BIOS.
Issue Bus Reset
Resets the bus. Normally, when a bus error occurs, the bus resets
automatically. Typically, the NEC Technical Support initiates this action only
when the bus does not reset after a bus error.

elements is identical in content. When elements are initially partnered,
memory is automatically checked. A dialog box indicates the status of the
action; click OK to close the dialog box.
