4-44 Configuring Your Server
1.
See page 9-4 to prepare.
2.
Pull the server out of the rack (as described on page 9-4).
3.
Remove the top cover (as described on page 9-24).
4.
Remove the riser card (as described on page 9-50).
5.
Locate the RAID configuration jumper on the motherboard as shown below.

6.
Remove the jumper from position 2 – 3 on the jumper block.
7.
Reinstall the jumper on position 1 – 2 on the jumper block.
8.
Reinstall the server removed in Step 2.
9.
Plug the power cord into your server and turn on the server.
10.
Run the BIOS SETUP utility described earlier in the chapter.
11.
Choose the Peripheral Configuration submenu in the Advanced menu.
12.
Change the options as follows.
SATA Controller Mode Option: Enhanced
SATA RAID: Enabled
(For details, see page 4-8.)
13.
Save and exit the BIOS SETUP utility
