4-62 Configuring Your Server
The following describe the clearing procedure.
WARNING
Observe the following instructions to use the server safely. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in death or serious personal injury. See pages
1-4 to 1-11 for details.
Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the server.
Do not remove the lithium battery.
Do not connect the ground line to a gas pipe.

Do not lift the server by yourself.
Make sure to complete board installation.
Do not leave the covers off.
Be careful not to get your fingers pinched.
Note that the server and components get hot.
Do not pull a server out of the rack if the rack is unstable.
Do not leave more than one server pulled out of the rack.
Clearing CMOS Memory
1.
See page 9-4 to prepare.
2.
Pull the server out of the rack (as described on page 9-4).
3.
Remove the top cover (as described on page 9-24).
4.
Locate the jumpers on the motherboard you are changing.
5.
Move the jumper strap to the CMOS clear position.
Refer to the previous illustration to find the location of the jumper.
6.
Wait for a while (about 5 seconds), and then reinstall the jumper block to the default
position.
7.
Reinstall the server removed in Step 2.
8.
Plug the power cord into your server and turn on the server.
9.
Press
F2
at the prompt to run the BIOS SETUP utility, and select "Load Setup Defaults"
at the Save & Exit menu.
