Disconnect the power cable (A) and ribbon data cable (B) from the device you are
removing.

Remove the device from the peripheral bay by pushing in on its drive rail clips and
pull the device completely out of the bay (see figure above).
7.
Install an EMI metal shield over the bay area where you removed the peripheral
device. The EMI shield is secured by just snapping it into place.
8.
Install a filler panel in the open area of the system bezel corresponding to the bay
where the media device was removed.
9.
Replace the side panel and front panel, and power on the system.
10.
Remove the drive serial number from the equipment log.
