Connecting cables
To use an on-board RAID Controller or optional RAID Controller, the interface cable must be connected.
Refer to the figures below for how to connect cables.
Important Both SAS Hard Disk Drives and SATA Hard Disk Drives cannot be installed.
Tips
When using SAS Hard Disk Drives, RAID Controllers must be connected.
If using the on-board RAID Controller for a 3.5-inch drive model
•
You need to prepare the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-288(00), which is separately available.
•
Connect the P0 to P3 connectors of the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-288(00) to the SATA0 to SATA3
connectors on the backplane, respectively.
•
Connect pin 1 (indicated by the triangle

) of the S1 connector of the internal SAS/SATA cable
K410-288(00) to pin 1 (indicated by the bold line) of the SGPIO1 connector on the backplane.
•
Connect the miniSAS connector of the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-288(00) to the MINISAS_1
connector on the motherboard.
