Chapter 2 Preparations

Installing flash backup unit that comes with N8103-152
This section describes the procedure of installing a flash backup unit that comes with N8103-152 RAID
Controller.
1. Refer
to
Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal)
for preparations.

to
Chapter 2 (1.6 Removing the Top Cover)
to remove the top cover.
3.
Connect FBU control cable (600 mm)
that comes with the N8103-152 RAID
Controller.
4.
Remove the screw securing the riser
card. Hold the both sides of the card and
lift it straight off the server.
5.
Remove the screw from the riser card
and remove the PCI 1B blank cover.
6.
Attach the RAID Controller to the riser
card.
7.
Insert the riser card into the slot of the
motherboard and fix the riser card with
the screw which you removed in step 4.
Position the terminal part of the riser card
in the slot of the motherboard and then
securely insert it.
