For Proper Operation

Observe the following notes for successful operation of the server switch unit. Use of the server
switch unit ignoring the notes will cause malfunctions or failures of the unit.

before connecting or disconnecting cables.

before relocating the server switch unit.

Clean the server switch unit on a regular basis (see Chapter 3). Regular cleaning proactively
prevents various failures of the unit.

Lightning may cause a momentary voltage drop. To prevent this problem, it is recommended
to use an uninterruptible power supply.

unit.

Use only the AC cord that comes with the server switch unit. Use of an unauthorized AC cord
may cause a failure of the unit or a fire when the voltage exceeding the rated one is applied to
the unit.
n
Use NEC's genuine interface cables for options. Repair of the unit due to a failure or damage
resulted from use of a third-party product will be charged even in the warranty period.
