2-28 General Description
Insert/Remove Floppy Disk
Connect the Flash FDD to the USB connector of this server.
The driver is automatically recognized, and it becomes possible to use this Flash FDD.
CHECK:
If you insert unformatted disk, you will see a message that the disk
cannot be read or that needs formatting. To format a floppy disk,
refer to your OS manual.
If you power on or restart NEC Express5800/ft series with the Flash
FDD connected, the server will access the floppy disk to start the
system. Unless a system exits on the Flash FDD, the server will be
unable to start.
Before removing the Flash FDD, ensure that access LED of the Flash FDD is off.
CHECK:
If you remove it while the LED is lit, the stored data could be
damaged.
