• Once training is performed, the echo control information is stored unless the IP-PAD is reset
(When using Series 3100 software or later, the level of each IP-PAD channel that has been stored
is maintained even if the system or the IP-PAD card is reset).
• The training does not become valid unless the caller carries out a conversation.
• If a digital trunk such as ISDN is used for the main trunk line, the influence of the echo is less than
that of the analog trunk.
NOTE:
The setting up procedure is varied by the software version you use (Series 3100 software or be-
fore/Series 3200 R6.1 software or later).

Carry out training together with the IP-PAD canalization test at the final stage of construction.
STEP1:
Determine the total number of IP-PAD channel.
STEP2:
Assume the connection ratio (number of channels allocated) of IP telephones and Virtual
IP trunk to terminals that communicate via TDSW (D

was determined in STEP1.
