PCI/ISA Backboard Removal
Remove the PCI/ISA backboard per the following steps.
1.
Remove the system unit cover and any installed expansion slot boards as
previously described in this section.
2.
Remove the two screws that secure the backboard to the support bracket (see
Figure Section 5-20).
3.
Pull the backboard out from its connector on the system board and remove it from
the system.

System Board Removal
Remove the system board per the following steps.
1.
Remove the following components as previously described in this section:
n
system unit cover
n
expansion slot boards
n
SIMMs
n
rear 3 1/2-inch internal drive
2.
Remove and label all cables connected to the system board. Appendix A provides
the connector identifiers and pin assignments for each connector.
3.
Remove the six screws that hold the system board to the system unit chassis.
Remove the system board from the system unit (see Figure Section 5-21).
