Power off and unplug the system and any peripherals.
WARNING:
The system power must be off
before removing the cover and changing a
jumper setting.

Remove the system unit cover (see “Removing the Desktop Cover” or “Removing
the Minitower Cover” in Section 3).
3.
Locate the PCI Slot jumper J4G1 on the system board (see Figure B-1).
You may have to remove any installed expansion boards to access the jumpers
(see “Removing Expansion Boards” in Section 3).
4.
Move the jumper to the number of PCI slots you want enabled (see the following
figure).
NOTE:
In minitower configurations, when the
jumper is set for Two PCI Slots, the shared
PCI/ISA slot functions only as an ISA slot.
CAUTION:
Do not change the jumper from
Two PCI Slots (Default) to Three PCI Slots in
minitower network configurations. Changing the
jumper affects network functionality.

If you removed any expansion boards, replace them (see “Replacing Expansion
Boards” in Section 3).
