Recovery Boot Enable Jumper
It is unlikely that anything will interrupt the Flash upgrade process. However, if an
interruption occurs that prevents continuing with the upgrade, it is possible the BIOS could
be left in an unusable state. The following procedure provides a method of recovery from
this kind of problem.
NOTE:
Because of the small amount of code
available in the non-erasable boot block area, no
video is available to direct the procedure. You
must monitor the flash recovery by listening to
the speaker.
1.
Turn off and unplug the system and any external options.
2.
Remove the system unit side panel (see “Removing the Side Panel” in Section 3).
3.
Locate the jumper bank on the system board (see Figure B-1).
