Boot Sequence
The BIOS attempts to load the operating system in the sequence listed here. The defaults
are as follows.

System Cache
The default for the System Cache field is “Enabled.” This field controls both the primary
and secondary caches. Setting the system cache
to “Disabled” will hurt performance, but might be required when running software which
utilizes software timing loops and needs to be slowed down to execute properly.
Boot Speed
Boot speed refers the system CPU cycles. The default boot speed is “Turbo.” “De-turbo”
mode slows the CPU by disabling the system cache and adding increased refresh cycles.

NumLock
The NumLock field turns controls whether the NumLock key on the keyboard will be “On”
or “Off” at bootup. The default is “Off.”
Setup Prompt
The Setup Prompt field allows you to disable the “Press <F1> Key To Enter Setup”
message displayed during POST. It does not control access, just the message. This field can
be either “Enabled” or “Disabled,” the default is “Enabled.”
Typematic Rate Programming
The parameter controls whether the default of user configuration values are used for
Typematic Rate Delay and Typematic Rate.
