Select the applications you want to install by double clicking on the item box or
line. A check mark appears in the box.
To deselect an item, double click it again so that the check mark disappears.
NOTE:
Items that appear grayed-out are
already installed on your system.

OK

The application files reload sequentially, and a progress bar appears for each
application selected.

When all the applications have finished installing, remove the CD.

Click
Restart Computer
to reboot and ensure that the installation process
completes successfully.
This completes the Selective Application Restore procedure.
NOTE:
After the Selective Application Restore
process completes, you can install optional
software such as device drivers using the NEC
Select Install CD. See the following section,
“Installing Optional Software.”
In addition, after the Selective Application
Restore process completes, you can reinstall any
personal applications. These applications are not
on the NEC Select Install CD and must be
reinstalled after the Selective restore process
completes.
Installing Optional Software
The NEC Select Install CD contains the operating system files, device drivers, and
applications that have been factory-installed on the hard disk. In addition, the CD contains
optional software that is not installed on the hard disk. If you install optional hardware or
make other system enhancements, use the NEC Select Install CD to install the device
drivers or other programs required for the system.
Follow these steps to install optional applications and drivers that have not been factory-
installed on the hard disk.
