Reviewing System Features 3-5
Math Coprocessor
An integrated math coprocessor increases the speed of
floating point operations.
System Memory
The system comes in configurations starting with a
minimum of 16 MB of system memory. Four sockets on the
system board support up to 512 MB of high-speed memory
using industry-standard, gold-plated, 168-pin dual in-line
memory modules (DIMM).
NOTE
You can install approved vendor list (AVL),
Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory
(SDRAM) DIMMs into the memory sockets.
Memory can be installed in one, two, three, or four sockets
on the system board. The memory type, size, and speed can
vary between sockets. The system automatically detects the
memory; no jumper settings are required. The DIMMs can
be either single- or double-sided. The minimum allowable
memory size for the system is 16 MB, and the maximum is
512 MB.
See Chapter 5 for DIMM option installation procedures.
