3. Test the Outside (CO) Lines (Test each line in turn.)
Only Test the lines that you have connected!
Procedure Action
1) To test CO1.
At a SL1000 Multi-Line
Telephone lift the handset
and dial

(Trunk Access

(Trunk Number).
If you hear CO dialing tone the phone has working correctly.
If you do not hear dialing tone move to step 2).
2) Check the connections
Check the connections from the Outside(CO) Line to the SL1000, ensure both
wires are connected to CO1 as shown in Connecting Outside(CO) Lines on
page 18.
3) To test CO2.
At a SL1000 Multi-Line
Telephone lift the handset
and dial

If you hear exchange dialing tone the line is working correctly.
If you do not hear exchange dialing tone check the connections from the
Outside(CO) line to the SL1000, ensure both wires are connected to CO2 as
shown in on page 18.
4) To test CO3.
At a SL1000 Multi-Line
Telephone lift the handset
and dial

If you hear exchange dialing tone the line is working correctly.
If you do not hear exchange dialing tone check the connections from the
Outside(CO) line to the SL1000, ensure both wires are connected to CO3 as

5) To test CO4.

If you hear exchange dialing tone the line is working correctly.
If you do not hear exchange dialing tone check the connections from the
Outside(CO) line to the SL1000, ensure both wires are connected to CO4 as
shown in on page 18.
