•
The target MV and RV must be set as a pair.
•
The MV must exist in the disk array which is under control of the self system.
•
The target MV must be already registered in the volume list.
•
The disk array that stores the specified MV and RV is not in the freeze state.
•
The activity state of the target pair is Separate, but not in the Separate Execution.
•
The target MV and RV volumes must be the basic volumes. Dynamic disk volumes cannot be
specified.
•
The semi-synchronous copy mode cannot be specified for the pair volumes that are allocated in
the same disk array. To specify the semi-synchronous copy mode, use the pair volumes that
are allocated in different disk arrays.
•
Other applications or services do not use the target MV.
•
Data files and log files included in the database exist in the target RV.
•
When specifying the -db option, there is only one database in the target MV.
•
When specifying the -dbfile option, all databases in the target MV must be specified.
•
The specified location for the metafile is not in the volume in which database data files and log
files are stored.
•
A metafile does not exist in the target MV.
•
When specifying the -dbfile option, the database name must be unique.
