Mini-PCI LAN
Your NEC Versa LXi system may ship with an internal mini-PCI LAN that allows you
to connect your system to a local area network. The internal LAN is a 10/100Base-TX
interface that supports both Wake on LAN and Network Boot functions.
To take advantage of the internal LAN, simply connect an RJ-45 cable to the LAN port
on the left side of the system. The LAN and modem ports are only available if your
system is equipped with these optional components.

Your NEC Versa LXi may ship with an internal mini-PCI Modem/LAN that combines
the functionality of a LAN and modem to allow you to connect to a local area network,
connect to the Internet, send a fax, or access your email.
To take advantage of the internal LAN/Modem, simply connect an RJ-45 cable to the
LAN port on the left side of the system or an RJ-11 cable to the modem port on the left
side of your system. The LAN and modem ports are only available if your system is
equipped with these optional components.
