This section summarizes problems that may develop during system operation and lists suggested
corrective actions.

Problem
Corrective Action
No power
Check that the AC adapter is plugged into the
power connector of the system. Also, check that
the AC adapter is plugged into a properly
grounded AC power outlet.
If using the battery as the main power source,
check if the battery pack is the right type, is
charged, and is inserted correctly.
Check the main board of the system. Is it inserted
into the CPU board connector properly?
Otherwise, replace the main board.
Data on the LCD is unreadable
Check LCD Panel View Expansion in BIOS,
press Fn-F10 to toggle Panel View Expansion for
DOS mode.
Check if installed VGA driver is correct.
Check the VGA controller chip on the main board
for any loose soldering.
Replace the main board.
Battery power does not last long
Make sure that the power management features
are enabled.
Recharge the battery pack for 2 hours or up to
100% before using again.
Replace the battery pack.
System halts during boot sequence
Check condition of selected boot device (diskette,
hard disk or CD-ROM) for bad boot track or
incorrect O/S files.
Try booting from a new bootable diskette and
recopy or repartition hard disk.
Check for any BIOS error messages on the
display screen.
Replace the CPU board or main board.
I/O processing malfunctions
Check the connections of all internal devices.
Replace the CPU board or main board.
Diskette or SuperDisk does not work
Check diskette type is correct or not faulty.
Check settings in CMOS.
Replace the diskette drive.
Replace the main board.
