Dust separation takes place in three stages:
•
Stage 1 is a collecting receptacle into which larger particles fall.
•
Stage 2 is a fine filter with twelve filter hoses.
•
Stage 3 is a micro-filter (optional) with degree of separation >99.997%
(DOP).

Main components
5.1
Power unit
Power unit, 1-phase consists of motor, and two fans and cleaning. See Figure 1.
5.1.1
Maintenance
1-phase power unit
Replace the fan motors in the power unit if they are not working satisfactorily.
The motors’ carbon brushes are worn out after about 700 hours of operation.
Replacing the motors’ carbon brushes more than once is not recommended.
The motor collector becomes worn and new brushes will wear very quickly.
Replace the entire motor instead. The motors are accessible after unscrewing
the power unit.
5.2
Filter/Filter package
5.2.1
Micro-filter (optional)
See Figure 2.
Maintenance
Change the micro-filter once a year or more often if vacuum performance
decreases despite cleaning the fine filters. See Figure 3 how to change the
micro-filter. Use genuine micro-filters only. Ensure that the rubber gasket on
the filter seals tightly against the base of the power unit. Leakage between
microfilter and fan inlet must not be allowed. Use an approved breathing mask
when changing the filters.
5.2.2 Filter package
See Figure 4.
Filter package, Cartridge
See Figure 4a. The particles collect on the outside of the filter. Cleaning of
the filter is carried out hourly or when the vacuum performance decreases. If
required the cartridge filter is to be changed.
Filter package, PP
See Figure 4b. The particles collect on the outside of the filter. Cleaning is
carried out every other hour or when the vacuum performance decreases. If
required the filter package is to be changed. Replacing the entire filter package
is recommended. When only changing the socks, the filter ring is to also be
replaced.
Filter package anti-static, PTFE
See Figure 4c. The filter package has been treated with an antistatic agent,
ensuring easier cleaning and less risk of sparks and dust explosions. The
