Overview
Handling and Lifting
Lifting or handling MUST be carried out by trained and qualified personnel. Ensure that
the lifting operation has been properly planned, assessed for risk and that the equipment
has been checked by a competent Health and Safety representative, and effective
control measures are in place.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the operators are trained in handling
heavy goods and to enforce the relevant lifting regulations.
Any personnel handling or lifting the SKG4 humidifier must follow the Lifting Operations
and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 and Approved Code of Practice L113. The
regulation imposes duties on employers, self-employed persons and persons who have
control, to any extent of lifting equipment.
The SKG4 humidifier MUST be handled and lifted with care at all times and remain in its
original packaging for as long as possible, prior to installation.
The SKG4 humidifier package may be carried using a forklift from the underside.
Exercise caution before lifting to ensure that the load is balanced.
The optional weather proof enclosure is provided with four (4) lifting eyelets located at
each corner on top of the enclosure.
Refer to the Dimensions and Weight table in the Standard Humidifier Unit section for
system dry weights.

Unpacking
The SKG4 humidifier is shipped in a wooden crate. Ensure packing wooden crate and skid is
removed prior to commissioning.
