Configuring LAN Groups
You will be presented with the following screen:
IP Settings
The IP address is usually 192.168.1.1 but you can change it (e.g. 192.168.0.1 or
10.0.0.1 or 172.16.1.1) to suit any existing network devices you already have in-
stalled. The NetMask describes how big your network is, the default 255.255.255.0
will allow for 253 computers and generally does not need to be changed unless to
suit existing network requirements.
Note: If you change your IP address the DHCP server in your modem will auto-
matically change the IP address range (DHCP pool) it hands out accord-
ingly.

Description
IP Address:
Private IP address for connecting
to a local private network (Default:
192.168.1.1).
Netmask:
Netmask for the local private network
(Default: 255.255.255.0).
Default Gateway:
This field is optional. Enter in the IP ad-
dress of the router on your network.
