4.1.3 Management Services
For easier maintenance, SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and remote syslog services are provided in
NP725.
VLAN for Management
: The management traffic from the device can be tagged with VLAN ID. If the option is
enabled, the VLAN ID can be chosen from 1 to 4094.
SNMP Configuration
: By enabling SNMP service, the remote SNMP manager could obtain NP725’s system
status.

Enable or Disable the feature. When enabled, its reported event will be sent to assigned

Syslog Configuration
: By enabling this service, specify a remote syslog server which could accept syslog
messages from NP725 remotely. By reading the syslog message in the remote server, the administrator can
review activities of all installed NP725s in the network.
