Command Line Interface Guide
This Appendix describes the command line tool available on the FR538G and contains instructions
for setting up and activating the CLI engine. You can use the CLI commands as an alternative to
using the web interface which can be particularly helpful when performing diagnostics. The
command types covered in this appendix include:

When preparing to use the CLI engine, make sure that your serial port parameters are set as
follows:
To activate the CLI engine:
1.
Configure the serial port on the PC according to the parameters in

Connect the PC to the FR538G through the serial port connection.
3.
Boot up the FR538G.
4.
At the login prompt, enter
root.
5.
At the system prompt #, enter
cli
.
When the system prompt changes to
neptune #
, the CLI
engine becomes activated, and the system is ready to accept CLI commands.
