Complete the fields and make your selections from the pull-down menus as explained in
Table 4-17

Table 4-17. Add Exception Settings
Setting
Description
Action
From the pull-down menu, select the action that the STM will apply:
•
allow
. The exception allows access to an application, Web category, or URL that is
otherwise blocked.
•
block
. The exception blocks access to an application, Web category, or URL that is
otherwise allowed.
Applies to
Click the
edit
button to open the “Applies to” screen that lets you configure a domain,
group, or individual user to which the exception must apply (see the screen below, in the
table).
If applicable, on the “Applies to” screen, click a
lookup
button to retrieve a domain,
group, or user. When you have made your decision, click an
Apply
button to add the
domain, group, or user to the Applies to field on the Add Exception screen.
The options on the “Applies to” screen are explained below.
All Users
Click the
apply
button to apply the exception to all users, both
authenticated and unauthenticated.
