Installing a power
supply in the C1200
To install a power supply in the C1200, complete the following steps.

Step
1
Enter the following command on the system console:
halt
Result:
System activity is suspended to the disks.

Ground yourself using an antistatic wrist strap, then unplug the power
cord from the power supply and from the power source.

Open the appliance, as described in “
Opening the appliance
” on
page 65.

Lift the rear of the power supply module up enough to clear the edge
of the raised guides.
Caution
Lifting the power supply module too high can damage the edge
connector and power supply board.

Slide the power supply module to the rear until it disengages from the
power distribution board, then lift the module out of the chassis.
Step
Action
1
Place the edge connector end of the replacement module onto the
chassis floor and slide it toward the front of the chassis until the edge
connector is fully inserted in the power distribution board connector.
Note
Ensure that the replacement module is fully seated on the chassis
floor and not resting on the raised guides.

” on
page 66.
