"Tuning" (arrows):
Turns the angle of the non-linear crystal to optimize phase-matching for the
actual laser wavelength. Single clicks change the angle in small steps. To sweep through a
wide angle range click and hold an arrow.
"Go to XTAL exchange pos.":
Before changing the crystal for another wavelength range click
here. This will turn the crystal module to a position that facilitates the exchange.
"Scan Oset":
This setting allows to adjust the delay zero position of the interferometer, i.e. the
point where the pulses overlap temporarily and where the maximum of the ACF is located.
Use this setting to center the ACF. Note: Click with the mouse between the digits of the (arb.)
number displayed here to set the step width.
"Reset Oset":
Resets changes made by the user to factory settings.
"Sensitivity" (arrows):
Increase or decrease the sensitivity of the SHG detector to optimize the
display of the autocorrelation function.
"Scan Range":
Choose between 150 fs, 500 fs, 1.5 ps, 5 ps, and 15 ps scan range (delay of inter-
ferometer) according to the measured pulse width. Note: ideally the scan range should be
chosen so that 1/3 scan range > FWHM > 1/10 scan range.
"PMT Gain":
This option appears only if a PMT detector is mounted. It allows to ne tune the
PMT gain to adjust the ACF intensity.
"Import Setup" and "Export Setup":
Save/export user made options and settings to a le. Im-
port/open and apply options set from a le.
