Hibernation
Hibernation is a useful power-saving feature to conserve battery power. As
the name suggests “hibernation”, the unit saves all the running applica-
tions and documents before it shuts down. When the unit is awake from
Hibernation mode, it will automatically reload the running applications on
desktop exactly as before. This feature allows the unit to be turned off to
save the battery power, and resume to working condition in few seconds.
To enable the Hibernation feature, from Desktop go to Start > Control
Panel > Power Options > Hibernation. Click <enable Hibernation> then
<OK>. Refer to Windows Help for detail.
Power-Saving Tips
Battery operating time can be extended by the followings:
Set tablet PC in power saving mode (see previous section)

Enable Power Management

Reduce the LCD brightness to the lowest comfortable level.
3.
Shorten the length of time Windows turns off the display.

Eliminate the use of USB devices such as uses the touch screen pen

instead of a USB mouse and unplug the USB flash drive when it is not in
use.
Exit application that uses PC card when finished.

Remove any PC card that is not in use. Some PC cards might drain

down battery power even if they are inactive.
Deactivate Wireless LAN function when it is not in use. (see Chapter 2).

Deactivate Bluetooth wireless function when it is not in use. (see Chap-

10. Turn off the tablet PC when it is not in use.
