1. Check the minimum distances between the post and the ends of
the guide with the leaf in the fully open and fully closed position,
as shown in figures 2 and 3.
2. Determine at which height on the leaf the aluminium guide must
be mounted, and the position of the post, considering the dimen-
sions shown in figure 4
To prevent needless torsional stress on the post, mount
the aluminium guide as low as possible
3. Make sure that there is enough room on the leaf for mounting the
guide.
The guide must be mounted in a perfectly horizontal posi-
tion and must be absolutely straight.
4. To mount the first section of aluminium guide on the leaf you need
to drill holes at intervals of 50 cm along the upper edge and use
screws that are suited to the leaf material.
5. Using 3 of the pins provided for this purpose, join the second sec-
tion of aluminium guide and proceed in the same manner for any
other sections required. When you reach the end of the leaf, cut
any excess guide off .

DBM is a mechanical device consisting of an aluminium guide in
which a cable holding chain has been inserted, enabling the electri-
cal connection of one or two safety sensitive edges installed on
doors or gates with linear movement, such as the leaves of sliding
gates.
The aluminium guide must be mounted on the entire length of the
leaf. It comes in lengths of 2.5 meters which can be joined together
using the pins provided for this purpose.
Figure 1 shows an example of DBM installation on a typical auto-
matic gate.
