Connecting the AC Adapter (optional)
The optional AC adapter allows the P-400R to be used with AC power. We
recommend that you use the AC adapter if you perform long-time or interval
shooting.
Note: Notes on the AC adaptor
Always use the AC adapter that is dedicated to the P-400R.
Always use the power cord designated in “11. Major Specifications”.
Before you connect the AC adapter to the P-400R or disconnect the AC
adapter from the P-400R, make sure that the P-400R power is off. If you
connect or disconnect the AC adapter when the P-400R power is on, the
P-400R or data might be damaged.
The battery in the P-400R is not charged when the AC adapter is connected to
the P-400R. If you want to charge the battery that is in the P-400R, remove
the battery from the P-400R, and then charge the battery with the P-CH01
P-BACH battery charger.
When P-400R has been installed in the P-MFSC Motorized Focusing Stand
Controller, the AC adapter cannot be used. Be sure to remove the AC adapter.

Make sure that the P-400R power (lamp) is off.

Connect the DC output cable of the AC adapter to the P-400R DC input
terminal.
A cover is attached to the P-400R DC input terminal. Open it when making a
connection.

Use a designated power cord to connect the AC adapter to an AC outlet.
About the usage of the AC adapter
Because the AC adapter operates 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power supply, it
can be connected to any AC outlet throughout the world.
You can use the optional P-CAC AC Adaptor Extension Cable to extend the
DC output cable of the AC adapter.
