Load Settings and Save Settings
As you learned in the previous section, the default settings file contains a complete
set of default custom gamma curves. The default settings file also contains information
on the film type, crop rectangle, and other parameters.
The Nikon Scanner plug-in also features the ability to save and recall additional
sets of default settings at any time through the

AVE
S
ETTINGS
and
L
OAD
S
ETTINGS
buttons in the Scan dialog. In both cases, a standard file dialog will appear requesting
the name and location pertaining to the file. These dialogs are shown in Figures 16.5a,
16.5b, 16.6a and 16.6b for Macintosh and Windows.
