Nikon Control Application
Software – Macintosh
Nikon Control is a simple to use, yet effective scanning application providing
complete control of Nikon scanners. While it is a stand-alone program, it utilizes the
Nikon Scanner plug-in, just like other imaging applications, such as Photoshop.
The Nikon Control application is menu driven, and utilizes standard file dialogs.
Among its features, Nikon Control allows you to scan and save images, and zoom-in on
and zoom-out of areas of interest within scanned images. Complete scanning control is
provided via the Nikon Scanner plug-in, described in detail in this manual.
Launching Nikon Control
The Nikon Control application is launched by double clicking on its icon, shown
in Figure 17.1.

Scan Windows
Nikon Control is based on three elements: a simple menu system, the Nikon
Scanner plug-in, and scan windows. The scan windows are standard resizeable, scrollable
document windows. A scan window will contain a full-crop image upon performing a
scan. A typical scan window is shown in Figure 17.2.
