You can open or close motorized shutters from your PC. The following additional functions
are available when issuing commands from a PC:
•
Timer-set operation of motorized shutters
Each of the motorized shutters can be timer-programmed so that it remains open for a
preset period (0.1 to 100 seconds).
The shutters are switched to timer-set operation mode even when operating the
shutters with the shutter switch.
•
Disabling shutter switch
A command can be issued to disable shutter operation with the shutter switch.
(8) Shutter
switch
Opens or closes the motorized shutters.
With the microscope-mounted eyepiece shutter closed so that no light entering the
eyepiece, you can open or close the selected motorized shutter by repeatedly pressing this
switch.
The eyepiece shutter is a safety device that protects against laser beam from entering the
eye through the eyepiece.
When the eyepiece shutter is opened, all motorized shutters will be closed. They will not
open, even if you press the shutter switch.
When the eyepiece shutter is closed, the eyepiece shutter-closed lamp lights yellow.
Note that no motorized shutters will open if the eyepiece shutter connector is not
connected.
The shutter switch lights yellow when the respective motorized shutter is open.
When the timer open/close mode is selected, this lamp flashes yellow while a motorized
shutter is open. To select timer mode, specify a shutter time and other parameters from
your PC. (T-LUSU2 does not have this function.)
