Removal and Installation
LPG System Emptying
WARNING:
This procedure must be performed by personnel qualified to handle the LPG systems,
according to the law in force.
Moreover, it is necessary to wear accident-prevention clothes, according to the law in
force (heavy gloves, antistatic non-synthetic clothes, suitable to cover the whole body,
antistatic and antispark shoes, helmets with visor; etc.).
1 Before operating on the LPG system for maintenance/replacement of parts, bleed the LPG system, as
shown below
2 Close the LPG tank valve
3 Start the engine and let it run until it stops because it has run out of LPG
WARNING: This procedure must be performed where there is a proper ventilation and under the
SAFETY conditions indicated in this Manual.
4 Turn the ignition key to “0” and engage the parking brake
5 The LPG system is empty In the next phases of LPG system part removal, consider that there may be
some minimum residual LPG gas leaks
WARNING: Avoid coming into direct contact with any residual LPG in the system.
